Mr. Bean Toy Car

Duration

10 Weeks

Date

Spring 2024

Project Overview

I designed a toy version of Mr. Bean’s iconic car, employing various advanced 3D printing technologies such as FDM, PolyJet, CNC machining, and Flatbed printing.

Using Rhino CAD, I modeled each component with attention to both aesthetics and the optimal printing method.

Concept Proposal

I’ve always been fascinated by charming and cute automobiles, with Mr. Bean’s car being a particular favorite from my childhood. I challenged myself to bring the nostalgic vehicle to life as a 3D toy model.

Reference

I aimed for a concept that simple, while still capturing the unique features and personality of the car's design.

3D Modeling and Texturing

Using Rhino 3D and Keyshot

Final Look

This fully textured 3D model marked the end of this phase, ready to move forward into the next stage of production using various printing methods.

Assembling

After receiving all my printed pieces within a five-day period, I cleaned, sanded, and assembled each component

Final Model

With careful attention to detail, I made sure each part fit perfectly before gluing them together. To finish, I applied a clear coat for a polished, professional look.
